St Peter and St Paul, Shepton Mallet

with St Aldhelm, Doulting and
St Bartholomew, Cranmore

Revd Liz SmithWelcome to the Web pages of the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul, Shepton Mallet and especially to our overseas readers! It is wonderful to be able to tell you about our Church through the medium of the Internet and I hope you will enjoy reading about our activities here in Somerset.

At St Peter and St Paul's we have an average Sunday congregation of about 200 including children and young people. We are fortunate to have a thriving Sunday School called The Children's Sunday Club and several Youth Groups. Our worship includes a regular upbeat youth praise service with modern music known as Youth Praise; regular healing services often shared with other Churches; family services; evensong and parish communion.

We run regular Alpha Courses, Housegroups and often carry out open air work. At the start of the new millennium we performed a pageant entitled The Cross and The Amulet to celebrate one thousand years of worship on the site of our historic church.

I hope you find something of interest here and do let us know of your comments and criticisms.

May God bless you with purity of heart; with joy, peace and love this summer.

Liz Smith
