The Choir

There has been a choir at St Peter and St Paul’s Church for many years.

There are at present fifteen members, including several junior members. The choir meets on a Friday evening at 7.30 pm for an hour. The choir director is Mrs Pat Campbell.

The choir leads the 09.25 Parish Communion, and also 18.00 traditional Evensong. It sings a wide variety of music including Margaret Rizza, items from Mission Praise, Taizé, Iona and Church anthems.

Recent events have included singing at the Lady Chapel in the Cathedral at a service in Lent, involvement with the Church production of The Cross and the Amulet, and singing with our link Church at St Barnabas, Knowle West. There are also links with St John the Baptist, Midsomer Norton where the curate there was the previous choir director at Shepton.

New singers are always welcome. Full admission is after a probationary period.
